"Apparently my worries are reasonable
Changes in air pressure from ground to higher level may cause discomfort to baby’s ears sometimes can be painful too. What you can do for your baby is to let them suckle on something like a bottle of milk, or even just your finger. This is because the act of suckling, yawning, chewing, intermittently opens up the Eustachian tube to prevent damage by equalizing pressure between the middle ear and the atmosphere. Babies will feel more comfortable (and not crying!!) during taking-off and landing where the change of air pressure occurs."
Dr. Halina....
This story was regarding her daughter, Bella !!
Not only Bella, but me myself always face that problem especially when I got flu...
I always wonder why do some people stay relax like nothing happen when we're on plane ??
My pair of ears was always pain to the death !! goshh...
Dulu-dulu, bole tahanlah eventhough every year had to caught flight to go back to Ma's hometown...
3 times flights, sometimes 2... it's already caused double, triple suffers for me !!
But now, since I chose to study abroad, I think I will go back to Malaysia every year by hook or by crook !!
Plus it which is another 2 times flights ...3 times until Penang...= (
So, total up all together including to and fro...so it would be 8-10 times miseries !!
Multiply 2 for taking off and landing...
Ouh, annoying !! T.T
Lastly, I hope my eardrum and Eustachian tubes could stand and bear the pain...
I can do nothing but only chewing the chewing gums and others above !!
T.T
never mind... I understand your suffer ~
